First Impressions Matter

When I first pulled up the long driveway to 210 Edwin Lane, I immediately knew this home was something special. Tucked away on over 9 acres of wooded seclusion, it felt like I was entering my own private retreat. Peaceful, quiet, and full of possibility. You’d never guess how close it is to town, major highways, and the best of the Poconos, but that’s what makes it so magical. You get the space and serenity of country living without sacrificing convenience.

Warmth and Elegance from the Start

As soon as I stepped through the front door, I was welcomed by a grand two-story foyer that instantly made the home feel warm and elegant. To my right, the formal Living Room practically begged for cozy conversations and quiet reading time, while the Dining Room on the other side felt like it was ready for holidays, birthdays, and Sunday dinners. Both rooms are filled with light and offer plenty of space to gather the people you love.

A Kitchen Made for Connection

But the heart of the home is definitely the Kitchen. It’s a dream for anyone who loves to cook, entertain, or just spend time where everyone inevitably ends up, around the island. The granite countertops offer endless space for prepping and plating. The stainless steel appliances (including a wine cooler) give it a modern, elevated feel, and the walk-in pantry is big enough to hold everything you need and then some. I could already picture holiday baking days, weeknight dinners, and big family breakfasts here.

Gather and Relax in the Family Room

The Kitchen opens right into the Family Room, and that’s where I felt it. The warmth, the comfort, the soul of the home. The fireplace crackling on a cool day, the wooded views from every window, and the sense that this room was made for relaxing after a long day or curling up for a movie night. It’s the kind of space that just makes you exhale.

Upstairs Comforts and a Peaceful Retreat

Upstairs, there’s a charming loft with its own fireplace that would make the perfect reading nook, office, or even a creative studio. There are four bedrooms on this level, including a spacious Primary Suite that feels like a personal retreat. The walk-in closet is huge, and the ensuite bathroom has a jetted tub that was practically calling my name. Whether you’re getting ready in the morning or winding down at night, this suite is a true luxury.

So Much More Than a Basement

The finished lower level was another surprise. It’s not just a basement. It’s a full additional living space. There’s a large rec room perfect for entertaining, plus a separate living area, a full bath, and laundry. It’s ideal for guests, extended family, or even creating a home gym, playroom, or craft space. It really adds so much flexibility to how this home can grow and evolve with you.

Outdoor Space That Inspires Joy

And then, there’s the outdoor space. Oh my gosh…the deck. It’s huge, covered, and overlooks a fully fenced-in backyard that’s flat and usable. Whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning, hosting a summer BBQ, or watching the sun set behind the trees, this deck is where you’ll want to be. And yes, there are goats. The current owners have a few sweet little goats enjoying the land, and I have to say… they’re living the dream. This property gives you room to run, garden, play, and maybe even start that mini-homestead you’ve always dreamed of.

Location, Location, Location

Beyond the property lines, the location is truly fantastic. You’re just minutes from shopping centers, restaurants, schools, and major highways like Routes 33, 611, and 80. Commuting and errands are a breeze. And let’s not forget the Poconos. Whether you love hiking at Delaware Water Gap, skiing at Camelback, splashing around at Kalahari, or enjoying the local wineries, markets, and festivals, there’s always something to do just a short drive away.

A Town That Feels Like Home

Stroudsburg itself is one of those charming towns that has managed to grow without losing its small-town feel. It has a vibrant downtown with boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries, and some seriously good food. The local community is warm and welcoming, and whether you’re raising a family or just looking for more peace and space, it’s a wonderful place to call home.

More Than a Home: A Way of Life

210 Edwin Lane isn’t just a house. It’s a lifestyle. It’s that rare mix of seclusion and convenience, of charm and comfort, of nature and modern living. It’s a home that gives you room to breathe, room to grow, and room to just be.

If you’ve been searching for your own slice of Pocono paradise, this might be the one. Come see it. Feel it. Walk the land. Stand on that deck and imagine the possibilities. Say hi to the goats. I have a feeling you’ll fall in love, just like I did. For more blogs like this one, head over to AHomeinthePoconosBlog.com.
