Gill South reported in a July 25, 2017 article on the topic on Inman.com that there are many versions of what defines a real estate team. But a summary that seems to capture a real estate team’s essence is: “a group with defined skills working towards a collective goal that supports the individual goals of its members, led by one or two people whose focus is to provide training, support, accountability, a source of business and a collaborative environment that fosters professional and personal growth for its members.”   I love that! It’s so succinct. When you work with a team you have the attention of several professionals, all serving different functions but with one goal in sight- getting you to your finish line.  Here are a few facts about The Galligan Team to help you better understand who we are and what we do, together, to better serve our clients.

The Galligan Team currently consists of five full-time, in-house Realtors. The lead visionaries of this team are husband and wife tag team Jim and Amy Galligan. They began their journey in Real Estate over 16 years ago.

Jim 2

Jim, our Team Leader spends his days cultivating professional relationships and bringing new clients on board. On average he is responsible for almost 100 listings at any given time. He serves as Chair Person for the Professional Standards Committee and sits on the Homeless Advisory Board for Monroe County for the past 3 years, sponsors the Veteran’s Shelter, Valor and is currently helping Street2Feet in a Pit count (homeless count) in the area, including finding campsites in the woods and making sure they know where they can get help, etc. Jim also volunteers for Lukie’s Fest and supports The Nan Foundation which raises money and awareness for brain cancer.

 

Amy

Amy, Team Director makes sure all moving parts of the team are functioning, always.  Unofficially, Amy is the Teams mascot! Always in a good mood (yes, always!) she can be counted on to have some positive spin or a pep talk up her sleeve.  She also dedicates time to organize and volunteer at Lukie’s Fall Festival that helps find a Cure for SMA, a genetic disease and supports The Nan Foundation for Brain Cancer.

Together Jim and Amy never stop training and educating themselves to stay current on the constantly evolving Real Estate industry. Their vision is simple, to serve all their clients to the best of their abilities while focusing on client relations, client education, ethics and integrity. It’s with this vision that they have built their growing professional reputations and have decided to add to it. They brought on a buyer specialist back in 2012, Brendan Galligan (brother to Jim) who is equally dedicated to staying up with the market trends and delivering outstanding client support.

Brendan

Brendan, our Lead Buyer Agent is easy going but sharp and shines when connecting with new clients. He enjoys the hunt and shares in the excitement when he helps his clients find “the one”.  A native to the area he serves, Brendan is full of insights and insider tips! He knows all the shortcuts and has probably been in the home he is showing more than once.  Brendan excels in this role due to his organic people skills and love of meeting new challenges head on…. oh, and he’s not opposed to having fun in the process! On his downtime Brendan enjoys spending time with his wife Kate and their friends and family. Brendan participates in a golf tournament every year that raises money for The Nan Foundation and he and Kate support Camp Papillion Animal Shelter (that’s also where they adopted their 2 furry babies!)

 

In the summer of 2017 they added Jessica who now serves as the teams Director of Operations and Expansions. Jessica also works with clients on the listing side, making sure all their needs are being met and questions are answered in real time.  Jessica and Jim work hand in hand managing The Galligan Teams inventory. When something isn’t selling, Jim and Jessica find out why and come up with a game plan to get that home sold! Jessica’s primary focus is making sure clients are happy and informed and outside agents have what they need to bring buyers to the table.  Jessica leverages her business background to help build systems which will streamline interoffice procedures helping to provide the perfect client experience during a transaction. In addition to operations, Jessica is the Creative Director of the team’s online presence and is responsible for the content you see throughout the site as well as our Instagram feed. Jessica has opened her home to children placed in emergency care for Monroe County as a foster parent, supports St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and is a feminist supporting Women’s rights/equality.

Ali

Ali Cabrera joined Keller Williams in May of 2016 when she first received her license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Her focus (and joy) comes from working with Buyers in the Residential Real Estate Market. Ali focuses on communication and makes sure her clients are in regular contact with her throughout the life of a transaction to stay both informed and educated. Honesty, transparency and patience are her guiding principles when working with all the people she serves. A mother of three, Ali’s priority is providing a solid foundation at home for Autumn 14 years old, Jadon 8 years old and Hope (her fur baby). Krystal Knight joined the team in March 2018 as our in-house photographer, and graphic designer. Officially, Krystal serves the team as our Marketing Administrator. With a BA in Graphic Design, Krystal creates eye catching graphics to help market our inventory online. Krystal works with Jessica in creating marketing campaigns & client news letters as well as all of the projects in the works to help set The Galligan Team apart from other professionals in the area.  Krystal’s passion is creating and capturing all the beautiful things we see in our daily lives and spending time with her best friend and fur baby, Hercules. We are excited to have her and look forward to watching her grow as a professional.

Darla

Darla, our newest team member has come aboard to serve as our in-house Transaction Coordinator. Darla will work hand in hand with the sales team to create a seamless transaction from offer to close.  Darla comes to us with a decade of transaction coordination experience and also holds a PA Real Estate License to better serve our clients.  Darla has lived in the area for 25 years and loves the Poconos. She shares her life with her 5 fur baby’s (5 cats and 2 dogs!). Darla supports the ASPCA and Children’s Miracle Network.

In 2018 we are expanding and hope to add talent to the team that will further enhance our clients experience.  Bottom line, the team comes together in many ways throughout the life of a transaction. Collectively we have 50 years of professional experience and rely heavily on one another to bridge the gap when necessary. Each person serves a specific purpose but collectively we work together to serve all our clients. From Listing/Looking to Sold/Bought the Galligan Team has your back!
